I’m Dominika, a Polish-trained herbalist, and TÉHUA is my small Calgary studio. I studied at the Polski Instytut Zielarstwa (the Polish Institute of Herbalism), a recognised herbalism school in Poland. Until now, I’ve used my herbal knowledge only for myself, my family and my friends. Now I want to share my love of herbs, and their unique flavour, with you. I’ve been blending herbal teas for five years now. The shop opened this summer.

Every blend is made here in small batches, with attention and care for both people and plants. I source my herbs from suppliers I trust, reaching for small herbal growers wherever I can. I can’t claim I grew every leaf myself, but I can promise this: nothing is mass-produced, and nothing is made carelessly.

What I care about most is you (TÉHUA means You): your wellbeing, the kind that grows from gentle, conscious contact with yourself. That’s what these teas are for: quiet company, not a cure.

TÉHUA is still growing. I’m always working on new blends and products, so there’s a cup to keep you company in the different moments of your day, your week, your month and your year.
