A note from the founder

I spent about fifteen years in advertising. It was fast and stressful, and for most of that time I felt out of place in it, like I was not quite where I was meant to be. For a long time my common sense would not let me do anything about that.

I began to slow down after my second child was born, and to find my way back to things that had always been mine. When the pandemic came and we moved out of the city almost overnight, I suddenly had a garden and a forest at the door, and I let myself go into plants for real.

Then I trained, a year and a half at a respected herbalism school in Poland, with lectures, field work, and practice, and I have not stopped learning since. What pulls me most is the idea of seeing a person as a whole, and older traditions like Chinese medicine. What the plants gave me back was a kind of calm and freedom, and the feeling of returning to something I had always known and somehow forgotten, something very much mine.

The longer I work with them, the clearer one thing becomes. And it is the very thing TÉHUA is built on.
The real key to change lies within us. Plants can support us along the way, and they can be beautiful companions, but they are not here to save us. I will never promise you a blend that fixes this or that overnight.
I don't believe in quick fixes. Real change takes its own time, but it always starts within you.
With your decision.

Tea was a natural next step, because I love to cook, to play with flavour, to feed the people I love. I wanted these blends to give what a good meal gives, real flavour and a little play, a pleasure to drink in their own right. Making them, and drinking them, is also how I come back to myself, a cup before a book or before a bit of silence. At some point I wanted to share that, because sharing what you love is, to me, one of the most beautiful ways of loving.
